So I met Jodi in 2017 from a referral of a patient. Having just moved to Destin in 2016 I had dozens (maybe hundreds) of realtors offering their help to buy a house, very few of them were genuine and mostly pushing to buy a house when I wasn't ready or a house I wasn't interested in just for a commission. I choose Jodi because she never pressured me before I was ready, actually listened to what I wanted to buy and tailored the houses to what I needed. She basically mentored me through the house buying process because it was my first house, and being my first house I was unfamiliar with the process and nervous. She really walked me through the process step by step and also referred us to everyone we needed to use (contractors, inspectors, title companies.) It was a pretty seamless process start to finish. Also, she was able to help me negotiate the offer down over 20,000 dollars and to look at the house before it was officially listed so I had the jump on it. This allowed me to get the funds ready ahead of time and make the offer quickly to avoid competition, thus bringing down the price further. There were times in closing where I would message her well after work hours (which is rude and I shouldn't have done) and she would answer, even on vacation. To be honest, it was nice to find someone who was more worried about me than a commission check and actually went the extra mile to make sure I got what I wanted and was educated along the process. I wouldn't use anyone else in town.

Melissa was a joy to work with every day! My husband and I were going through the process of purchasing our 1st home ever. She had answers to all of our questions and was available to talk 24/7. If she couldn't answer her phone at the time we called (which was rare!) she called us back within a few hours.
